The  following summary is from the Disc Golf Hall of Fame and appears on Johnny's plaque.  So fitting and true!
2001 Disc Golf Hall of Fame
Johnny Sias
is one of the greatest putters to have ever played the game. He has won countless events on the PDGA tour and was one of the most dominant players in the game during the 1980s, capping off the decade with an exciting World’s Championship title in 1986! His demeanor, conduct, and sportsmanship are an example to all that play. Johnny, with his wife, Adele, also volunteered to handle the membership function of the PDGA, without recognition or compensation. The PDGA may not have survived in the early years without their assistance. Together they set the standard, bringing integrity to the PDGA with their tireless work.

What can a biographer state about Johnny Sias that is purely objective?  For starters Johnny is a five-time PDGA Disc Golf World Champion.  First world title is the Open Division during the 1986 Worlds, second title is 2012 Grand Masters World Champion, 2013 Senior Grand Masters World, 2019 PDGA 60+ and most recent he secured the 2022 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships Mixed Pro 70+.  2023 the PDGA reports that Johnny is Global Masters Series Ranked: #47

Continuing comment on his other achievements, this supporter cannot forget he is a member of the Disc Golf Hall of Fame who was inducted in 2001.  Further research uncovers that he is a sponsored player with Innova Champion Discs and holds a competitive spot-on Team Innova as a Hall of Famer and moonlights his duties on the Innova Ambassador Team.  Johnny's stats include 84 career wins.    Johnny hosts two championship courses on his 40-acre homestead.  He designed both the Lucky 8 and Crazy 8 with two things in mind, challenge and skill enhancement.  Johnny’s dedication to growing the sport has generated much influence both financially and physically with over 38 courses in WV, KY and OH.  Much of his influence is through park meetings, course design and installation.  Some might argue that he is the “grandfather” of disc golf in West Virginia.  Regardless how you refer to Johnny, there is no denying that the state of disc golf in WV wouldn’t come close to the current status without his influences.  I would be remiss not to mention his loving wife and life companion, Adele Sias.  Adele has been a great influence and a supporter of Johnny’s disc golf from the very beginning.  A time not long ago, one would see Johnny and Adele traveling to many regional and national events.  Adele could always be seen by Johnny’s side sharing guidance, insight on course layout, spotting on every hole and literally supporting his every shot with simple signals on the disc final position which for Johnny is very helpful.  Planning is the key to success.  Now for the subjective observations, Johnny and Adele are some of the most generous loving people in the disc golf community.  They have opened their home to thousands of disc golfers over the past four decades.  Together they have hosted events at their home, donated countless hours to maintaining the first course in WV.  Johnny and Adele are honest as the day is long plus there is no guessing about how they feel about anything.  Forthright and transparent, direct and obvious whereas plainly put, what you see is what you get!  Fortunate to call them friends and blessed to have known them for so long, these kind and caring people are major part of what we have to be thankful for when thinking where our sport has been and the direction it’s heading!  If ever planning a road trip or you anticipate being in the area, then for sure, contact Johnny for the opportunity to see a bit of history of our sport and to play two of the toughest courses in WV.  johnnyandadele@hotmail.com
